Panels

Here's the schedule we have planned! (As ever, this may change slightly between now and the con.)

Guests

We’ll bring back some of the guests you’ve enjoyed in past years and add new ones, serving up an engaging mix of writers, game designers, artists, scientists, academics, fannish luminaries, and mad geniuses.

Here's a list of currently confirmed participants. This list is subject to change, both additions and cancellations, as conflicts do sometimes arise for panelists.

To suggest a panelist, email programming@conjecture.org.

Events & Activities

Iron Hack

Welcome to Fiction Stadium, where Chairman Conje pits Iron Hacks from different schools of fiction against each other to determine who is the ultimate Iron Hack! Secret ingredients provided by the audience are woven into an improvised story, each Hack passing it maliciously on to the next with unresolvable cliffhangers and embarrassing segues. This event gets funnier every year. Don’t miss it!

Mad Science Faire

Each year, we hold a competition for deranged researchers, disturbed inventors, and engineers with a screw loose. Do you have an Infernal Device bubbling away in your basement? Have you Meddled With Something That Man Was Not Meant To Know? Bring it to the con! An application and entry guidelines will be available in May. The same item can compete in both the Masquerade and the Mad Science Fair. (Just remember, all live specimens must have a Conjecture membership.)

Masquerade

Surprise us! Thrill us! Take home cool prizes! You don’t have to dress as an alien, but there are a lot of great aliens in fiction and media to choose from. A complete set of our rules and registration forms for the Masquerade will be available on our website in May.

Gaming

Our open gaming room will be stocked with classic board and card games. There will be role-playing games as well, both tabletop and possibly a LARP (live action role playing). If you would like to run a role-playing scenario, especially one in a military setting, email gaming@conjecture.org.

Anime

We’ll be screening both episodes from various series and full-length feature films. (The Anime Room is not a babysitting service; if you bring young children to the con, please supervise them.)

As a special part of our anime and live-action screenings we will be giving out tickets to a local screening of the new movie "Death Note 2: The Last Name". For more information please visit this site:
